Personal Insights from Lucas:

A few years ago, I had my “why” moment—the moment that solidified my decision to continue with a career in financial planning. A woman in her mid-60s came in to meet with me regarding her retirement outlook. Before I could even say “hello,” she said, “I know I will never be able to retire so let’s just make this quick and quiet and I’ll be on my way.” She had never dreamed of retirement; her thought was she started to save too late in her career and would never be able to catch up. After an in-depth planning review, we determined she had in fact saved enough to retire in the next five years. I watched her demeanor turn from hopeless to hopeful in a matter of seconds. That is my “why” the opportunity to help my clients realize their financial goals. I am honored and privileged to have the opportunity to play my part in their success.
