About Cindy

Cindy Haddad has 30+ years of experience serving clients in the financial industry. She co-authored the book, “The Special Needs Planning Guide” with Special Needs financial planner, John Nadworny, CFP®. Growing up with a brother who has special needs, Cindy understands firsthand the complexity of financial planning for families who include members with special needs.

Cindy works through the complexities of Special Needs Financial Planning with her clients step by step using the proprietary tools she and her co-author developed to illustrate each step clearly and simply. She works with families to address the unique financial, emotional, and legal ramifications of blending traditional financial planning goals with having a child or family member with special needs while developing and creating a succession plan for them. She also provides Educational Workshops locally and nationally to help families and professionals better understand the interconnected and highly personal aspects of special needs financial planning. Cindy listens carefully to her clients for their core beliefs and works with Sequoia’s dedicated Investment Research team and Wealth Planning team to develop an appropriate financial plan and investment allocation to invest toward their goals over the long term. Her goal is to take the worry out of the complex lives of her clients by knowing what they don’t know about special needs financial planning.

Cindy holds a degree in Finance and Economics from Simmons University, Boston, MA. She’s a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ (CFP®) and a Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®), a member of the Financial Planning Association, the Academy of Special Needs Planners, the Club Facilitator of the Special Needs and Elder Care Chapter within USA500, and an active member of her church and local communities.

As a native New Englander, she loves spending time outdoors enjoying all four seasons. She enjoys the arts and spending time with her family and friends. She’s a foodie who loves cooking at home and discovering great restaurants. In addition to serving her church and local community, she volunteers with non-profits that serve and/or advocate for people with disabilities.
