Gerry Knotek brings over 30 years of financial knowledge to his client relationships. He especially enjoys working with business owners or former business owners to uncover their “why.” These values define their goals and help Gerry tailor investment and financial planning principles to their needs.

Gerry specializes in Investment Management, Financial Planning, Estate Planning, and Business Owner Needs. He enjoys asking insightful questions and working as a partner with his clients to account for life’s changes and ensure their goals are on track. He poses “what if” and “would you want to” scenarios using real-life examples so they’re relevant. Such questions elicit the answers to create a clear picture of their future and ideal present.

In addition to being an advisor to clients, Gerry has served in various roles as part of the Sequoia team including leading the planning department, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Financial Officer and has served as a member of the executive committee. In 2005, Gerry was the first employee to become part of the ownership team at Sequoia.

Gerry is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Certified Public Accountant/Personal Financial Specialist (CPA/PFS), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA®), and an Investment Advisor Certified Compliance Professional (IACCP®). He’s also a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Planning Association. He previously passed the Series 7, 24 and 63 exams.

Gerry holds a B.S. in Business Accountancy from Miami University. Gerry is an avid sports fan (Browns, Cavs, Guardians) and intends to see the Browns play in every NFL stadium. He’s actively involved in his children’s school and church. Gerry lives in Richfield, Ohio.
