Personal Insights with Landon:
I began getting into realm of finance when I was a senior in high school after taking an elective personal finance course. We discussed topics such as personal budgets, loans, and most importantly, the power of compound interest. After watching a Dave Ramsey video in class about how small investments at a young age can create great future wealth, I was hooked. I learned about how time is one of the most important factors to becoming a great investor and building wealth, and I decided to open a Roth IRA and commit to $10 monthly contributions (which at that time in my life was truly a commitment).
Watching my own money grow inspired me to pursue teaching and helping others grow their own wealth and reach their financial goals. I started talking to friends, siblings, and other classmates about how simple a habit investing can be. Doing this made me realize that financial planning is what I wanted to do as a profession. There is a rewarding feeling helping others reach financial wealth, knowledge, and peace.
