About Matt
As Chief Compliance Officer, Matt Dunn is responsible for ensuring that Sequoia remains compliant throughout the M&A integration process. His primary focus is to identify potential risks early and implement measures to mitigate them, safeguarding the organization while maintaining a seamless transition.
Though his role doesn’t directly impact the client experience, Matt’s work is crucial in ensuring that the integration doesn’t disrupt the high standards of service Sequoia provides. He collaborates closely with internal teams across various departments to identify and address compliance-related issues early in the process, providing solutions that support a smooth transition.
What motivates Matt is the challenge of working through the unique complexities of each integration. He enjoys finding creative, out-of-the-box solutions to the compliance challenges that arise, helping the company adapt while remaining compliant.
His advice to those new to M&A integration? “Bring an open mind.” Flexibility and the ability to think critically and creatively are key to navigating the challenges of a successful integration, ensuring both operational continuity and compliance are maintained throughout.
